The AFCON defending champion Algeria have exited the 2021 AFCON after suffering a comfortable 3-1 defeat from Ivory Coast.
Goals from Kessie, Sangare and Pepe wrecked their dream to advance in the 2021 AFCON.

Ivory Coast dominated the whole game and bagged in 3 goals before Bendebka struck in Algeria’s consolation goal. Before his goal, the Manchester City hitman failed to convert their only chance to progress in the game after hitting the woodwork to cost Algeria their only chance.
Algeria had been unable to register a single victory against their rivals following their various awful matches since the start of the 2021 AFCON campaign. They have joined Ghana as the two giants of Africa that have exited the 2021 AFCON.
