From Davido headlining the event with an electrifying performance of his two hit songs ‘Feel’ and ‘Unavailable’ to Quavo and Offset reuniting to pay tribute to late Takeoff with a perfect emotional performance, the 2023 BET awards ceremony kick-started with ease.

There were quite new faces but the Afrobeat Giant, Burna Boy once more dominated the show after he emerged as the BET 2023 ‘Best International Act‘ winning the prize for the fourth time (2019, 2020, 2021, 2023).

As anticipated Kendrick Lamar won the ‘Best Male Hip Hop Artist‘ adding more to his enormous BET Awards collection having consistently proved his abilities consecutively for years.

Another American sensation identified as Coco Jones astonished music enthusiasts last night and emerged as the ‘Best New Act‘.

Iconic Rap Legend, Busta Rhymes was honoured with a ‘Lifetime Achievement Award‘ that left him emotional which he portrayed during his speech.

Beyonce triumphed in three categories after her hit song ‘Break My Soul’ clinched the ‘Viewers Choice‘ and ‘BET Her‘ prize while her evergreen album,
‘Renaissance’ dominated other incredible albums to emerge as the ‘Album Of The Year‘.

American female Rap maestro, Latto emerged as the ‘Best Female Hip Hop Artist‘ of the Year giving even a vast room for the world to thrill to her abilities.

Teyana Taylor finally attained her deserved recognition after clinching the ‘Video Director Of The Year‘. This came after her incredible year of directing extraordinary views of music visuals to her legacy.

In the category of the ‘Youngstars Award‘ Marsai Martin announced herself to the world by clinching the prize proving the beauty of her musical abilities.

Kirk Franklin and Maverick City Music were handed their deserved prizes after they emerged as the ‘Gospel/Inspirational Artists‘ of the year.

Drake and 21 Savage joint album ‘Her Loss’ of course didn’t fail to dominate the category of the ‘Group‘ of the year registering the dou as the winner of the category.

In no doubt, Grammy Award Winning sensations, Future, Drake and Tems attained the category of the ‘Collaboration‘ of the year with their iconic song ‘Wait for U’.

The two R&B maestros, Usher and Chris Brown gave no room for a single glory after emerging as the two ‘Male R&B/Pop Artist‘ of the year.

Video Of The Year‘ Category did slide in the grand of the sensational SZA who clinched the prize with her music video ‘Kill Bill’. She also triumphed over the category of ‘Female R&B/Pop Artist‘ of the year clinching two plaques last night. Wrapping her incredible night, she emerged as the 2023 BET winner with the most plaques (3 Plaques) alongside Beyonce after her incredible album, triumphed in the ‘Album of the year‘ category.

Other performers like Glorilla wrapped up the event with thrilling performances sparking even vast reactions among fans.
