The Olympic gold medalist and current world record-holder in the men’s 65kg weightlifting category, shattered the hearts of Nigerians after succumbing to the call of nature.
His departure has ranged as one of the biggest losses in Nigeria following the great impact he has made in the Nigerian sports forum.
He has represented Nigeria at the top level in several Olympic tournaments clinching enormous numbers of titles.
The star died at the age of 33 as announced publicly by his family.
