Fast rising comedian drown in a pool while celebrating his Principal’s birthday

Kingsley Ekpe, a 25-year-old comedian based in Calabar has reportedly drowned in a pool while celebrating his principal’s birthday.

According to the reporter, Ekpe drowned in a hotel pool while swimming with his friends in celebration of his alleged principal’s birthday.

An eye witness recalled that the incident happened along Calabar Mutala Mohammed Highway in Calabar Municipal local government of the State.

In his words, he vowed that the deceased succumbed to the call of nature while celebrating his Principal’s birthday.

He also revealed that the young man was also a teacher at Lott Carey Secondary School, Uwanse in Calabar South Local Government Area.

In his words, he said:

“The celebrant and his guests took time to swim in the hotel’s swimming pool amidst other merriments and when it was time to depart the hotel, it was observed that Kingsley was missing, ”

“We searched everywhere and when we looked into the pool, he was in a sitting position.”

“Ekpe was brought out of the pool and strangely it was discovered that he was dead.”

“We pressed his stomach to gorge out water and instead of water, it was blood that came out. Strangely too, there were no marks or any wound on his body”

The hotel management also debunked the claim that Ekpe died from drowning and labelled that from the investigation, the young man died from heavy intoxication as a result from excessive intake of strong alcohols.

The father of the deceased however was aggrieved and never succumbed to the report the hotel management detailed as the source of his son’s death.

He outlined that he is pretty much sure that water didn’t drown his son to death and urged them to give a clear note and detail about the death of his son.

In his words, he said:

“Can a man live with his son for 25 years without knowing the health status of the child?”

My son plays football. Does an asthmatic patient play football? He jogs every morning, does asthmatic patient jog? Certainly the hotel is not saying the truth of what took place there”

The police is still under investigation as people hope for a clear instance. Rest in Peace Ekpe.
