The Super Eagles have failed to qualify for the 2022 Qatar World Cup after failing to defeat Ghana in Abuja.
The beautiful game began with an intense approach from the Super Eagles but was punished by Thomas Partey’s early goal in the first half.
The Nigerian goalkeeper, Uzoho couldn’t find any space and awfully deflected the ball into the back of the net after the Arsenal midfielder fired in a beauty.
Nigeria’s optimism however was restored after Ekong converted a penalty won by Ademola Lookman.
They fought for the second goal which never came in their favour. Nigeria will not be going to the 2022 World Cup tournament for the first time since 2006.
