24-year American singer and songwriter Halsey has finally released her highly anticipated track titled “You should be sad”, off his forthcoming studio album, “Manic”.

“You should be sad” had a production credit from American serial hit-maker Greg Kurstin.

The track shares similarities with October 2018 single “Without Me,” about ex-boyfriend G-Eazy and his infidelity. In a tweet following the release of “You should be sad” Halsey hinted that the song was also about G-Eazy, whilst explaining the concept behind the music video.

Quotable Lyrics:

Oh, I feel so sorry (I feel so sorry)
I feel so sad (I feel so sad)
I tried to help you (I tried to help you)
It just made you mad
And I had no warning (I had no warning)
About who you are (About who you are)
Just glad I made it out without breaking down
Oh, I feel so sorry (I feel so sorry)
I feel so sad (I feel so sad)
I tried to help you (I tried to help you)
It just made you mad
And I had no warning (I had no warning)
About who you are (About who you are)
‘Bout who you are
