Nigerian Afrobeat Gem, Wizkid has declared publicly that he has deterred his interest in the rap genre identifying it as a boring phase of music.
He disclosed this in his recent interview where he expressed his passion for the current phase of the growth of Afrobeat.

While discussing his displeasure with the rap genre, he further announced his aversion to the genre and identified it as a dead genre.
Finalising his dissatisfaction, he disclosed that the current rap genre deploys the same flow and beats which likely don’t digest well with him.
In his words, he said:
“If I’m being honest, I don’t listen to any other genre of music anymore”
“I don’t listen to rap – that shit is boring to me. It’s dead now, it’s tired. These guys do the same shit, rap on the same beats, same flows”
Some fans didn’t quite commend his view and heavily lambasted him via all the social media platforms.
