Greek-Based Nigerian NBA star, Giannis Antetokounmpo has been named as the Most Valuable Player for the second season in a row.

The 25-year-old who plays for the Milwaukee Bucks basketball team in the US beat James Harden of the Houston Rockets and LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers to win the award.

Giannis who was born in Greece to Nigerian parents, Charles and Veronica Antetokounmpo has now become the third player in league history to win MVP and Defensive Player of the Year in the same season, with only Michael Jordan and Hakeem Olajuwon achieving such feat before him.
