Nigerian singer, Timaya finally speaks on the saga of his ‘Hit and run’

Nigerian singer and songwriter, Timaya has finally spilled the insight of what really happened in the saga of his ‘hit and run’.

In the recent trend, several sources paraded that the ‘Cold outside’ crooner was arrested for hitting a young lady and flew without taking care of his alleged mess.

He has in his recent statement detailed what transpired with his arrest and his story.

According to him, he revealed that he went to the lady’s house to commiserate with her over the incident but to see himself detained by her family.

In his words, he narrated:

“I was invited to the station when I went to the lady’s house to commiserate with her over the incident. I was there as early as 7 am.”

“It was when we stepped outside the house that we saw police officers. The reason I went to her house was to show my profound remorse.”

“I would have been there yesterday (Wednesday), but I could not make it because I had to attend to something urgently at Ogun State. However, throughout the day, members of my team were with her at the hospital and home till midnight.”

“I was never arrested by the police. I was only invited for questioning at the Maroko Police Station. From there, I went to the hospital to see the lady.”

Shortly after the saga seem to have quenched, Timaya took to his Twitter handle and apologised for his misfortune.

He deployed it in a vast composed statement that has melted the heart of many.
