Nigerians blame Maduka Okoye and President Mohammadu Buhari for their sudden exit in the 2021 AFCON

The Super Eagles shocking defeat and elimination at the 2021 AFCON, trailed bitterness and jubilation for Tunisia and Nigeria last night after an epic display.

A stunner from Msakni clinched Tunisia their first Knockout tire. This was even prompted by Maduka Okoye’s goalkeeping error and Alex Iwobi reckless tackle that resulted in a red card booking.

Their dream to lift the AFCON trophy for the fourth time after several years was alleviated last night by the underdogs.  Despite their enchanting tally in the group stage qualification via how they bossed Group D with excellent performance, they have failed to advance.

However, Nigerians have fished out the Nigerian goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye and the Nigerian President, Mohammadu Buhari as the key reasons why the Super Eagles were wretched by the Tunisian stars.

In the 47th minute when the shocking stunner came from Msakni, the Nigerian Goalkeeper failed to time his approach which led to a classy goal that struck his hand and fled higher into the net. This view attracted massive chores online as Nigerians trolled his image to the core via all the social media platforms.

The President of Nigeria, Mohammadu Buhari was also slammed by a massive number of aggrieved Nigerians who alleged that he instilled hard-luck energy into the grinds of the players by speaking to them later before the clash with Tunisia.


Nigerians believed that the Super Eagles authorities shouldn’t have allowed Mohammadu Buhari to speak to the player as they labelled that he is the image of failure. This attracted massive trolls to his name.
