Following the impure and complicating nature of the Twitter ban, the senate president, Ahmad Lawan has emphasised the saga.
According to him, he outlined that the federal government is working so hard to reverse the Twitter ban having experienced so much on how the Nigerian citizens need Twitter.

Recall that the microblogging platform was banned from the Nigerian internet space hours Buhari’s tweet was deleted.
In his words, he said:
“The honourable minister of information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, informed Nigerians that they are talking with Twitter to resolve this matter. We believe that Nigeria needs Twitter just as much as Twitter needs Nigeria.”
“We believe that the matter between Twitter and the federal government of Nigeria will be resolved.”
“But beyond that, I’m an optimist, I believe all of us will have learnt our lessons”
However, he urged that Nigerians should use this medium to correct their mistakes and respect the Nigerian president.
