Nobel Laureate, Prof Wole Soyinka, has opened up on his grieve over the current federal administration action deployed on the Yoruba Nation freedom fighter, Sunday Igboho.
Recall that alleged armed men in the Nigerian army force outfit, attacked Sunday Igboho’s residence, killed 7 and abducted his wife.
The Nigerian award-winning author has urged that the government must succumb to the regulation of the law and apologise to him for the destruction.
He also advised them not to attack the freedom fighter for he committed no crime.
In his words, he said:
“My advise to the government is that they should stop pursuing Igboho as a criminal, because you have begun by acting in a criminal fashion against him.”
“If and when Igboho comes to trial, I guarantee you the government will be very embarrassed.”
“I think they should tell Igboho ‘we made a mistake’, ‘we should not have acted in this way’, ‘you are no longer wanted’, ‘go back to your home, in fact escort him to his home’ and let him resume his normal life,”
