Grammy award-winning singer Wizkid have openly detailed why he participated in the past EndSARS protest.
In his recent interview with Vogue UK, he discussed his tours, being a father and world domination.
This was when he outlined that he joined the EndSARS protest because he is always open to supporting the political goals of the Nigerian citizens so that they can be able to progress in their society.
In his words, he said:
“There are no amount of words I can put together to make you understand what Lagos is, to explain the hustle, or the political injustice, the strength of the people or the number of amazing creatives.”
“It was very important for me to be direct and vocal because I’ve always been direct and vocal about political injustice in Nigeria To see that conversation happen and know that we’re one step forward from where we used to be, that’s amazing to me. And there’s no question I’ll keep speaking out loud”
The EndSARS protest heated in October 2020 globally and most especially in Nigeria. Wizkid who was in the UK as of that time joined netizens protesting in the UK and voiced out.
