The death toll has struck one of the Nigerian highly profiled statuses, Funke Akindele after her mother succumbed to the call of nature.
This was announced by the Nollywood elder sister who tragically spilled that the woman identified as Adebanjo Akindele passed away on Tuesday after a brief illness.

Her statement reads:
“It is with heavy hearts, but in total submission to God Almighty that the Adebanjo And Akindele families announce the passing of their daughter, mother, grandmother and sister, DR. R B ADEBANJO-Akindele, which occurred on Tuesday 07 February 2023.”
“May her gentle soul begin its rest eternal in peace. Amen. Obsequies in honour of her passing shall be announced in due course”.
Several sources have disclosed that the sad news struck Funke Akindele so hard that she has so far gone mute on all social media platforms.
