Reports claimed earlier that hard drugs like cocaine, Methamphetamine and many other hard drugs were seized by the NDLEA official after they were captured in the statue of the Virgin Mary.
Dare-devil narcotics couriers who used the statue of the mother of Jesus to conceal their drugs met their retribution after they tried to dispatch them to Philippine.
It was alleged that the NDLEA operatives embedded in two courier companies intercepted the drugs concealed in the statue_ They also captured the victims.

One of the NDLEA operatives, Obafemi announced that the drug captured was 500grammes of heroin, 140grammes of Methamphetamine, 3.1 kg of Indian hemp and 201kgs of “skuchies’’
He also added that the 31 victims have been arrested and sued for their misfortune. The drugs were also burnt and recycled via NDLEA customs.
