Although the Lioness had the better hype and rating from world football enthusiasts, the Super Falcons were able to hold them to a full-time Draw resulting in another 30 minutes of additional time display.
Dominating with the advantage of Lauren James who was sent off for stepping purposely on Alozie, Nigeria still couldn’t find the net until the game advanced to another phase of penalty shoot-out.
The Lioness took full advantage of their potential and wrecked the Super Falcons in a 4-2 display advancing through the Quarter Final ahead of the Super Falcons.
Nigerians have been buzzing in reactions as they celebrate their ladies who gave it all for their nation from the core to date.
