The Nigerian singer and songwriter Tems have been nominated for the 2022 Grammy annual music award.
She was nominated for the impact she played on the song “Essence” a song labelled as the song of the summer.

“Essence” is recognised as one of the hit tracks of the fourth studio album “Made In Lagos” of the Nigerian multi-award-winning star Wizkid.
Millions of music listeners across the world discovered the beauty of the song and streamed it via all the major music charts. It debuted at Billboard top 10 charts making Wizkid and Tems the icons in Africa to remember and adore forever.
This marks Tems first Grammy Award nomination since she debuted in the Nigerian music firm.
