Woman who was detained during the EndSARS protest has been granted bail after suffering a severe miscarriage in the prison

A Nigerian woman identified as Ayodele Bukunmi, who was arrested during the EndSARS protest for allegedly burning the APC office in Ondo state has been granted bail.

However, the bail seems not thrilling in her view for she suffered a severe miscarriage in the prison and is currently battling with her fetus which is yet to be flushed out.

She lost her three-month child via the torture she received from the Nigerian police force who were eager to penalize law violators.

The Nigerian human right activists, Omoyele Sowore also reported this via his Twitter handle which has grieved enormous numbers of people concerned with the tragedy.

In his words, he said:

“Bail granted to Ayodele Bukunmi, the young female arrested in Akure last October during #EndSARS, unfortunately, she lost a 3-month pregnancy due to torture by a combined team of Nigeria Police Force and the Nigerian Army, she was cellmate with Kemisola Ogunniyi, the young female who delivered a baby while in prison some two weeks ago.

“Great thanks to Tope Temokun, the attorney who took up this case & great citizens of conscience who stood up (and continue to stand up) against @mBuhari’s tyrannical regime! #RevolutionNow #BuhariMustGo.” Bukunmi was arrested alongside Ojo Samuel, Ani Obinna and Kemisola Ogunniyi on October 22, 2020″ 

Bukunmi has been admitted by a nearby hospital for her desired therapy sponsored by the Human Rights activists, Omoyele Sowore.
