“I wish I sang some of Omah Lay and Fireboy’s songs” – Oxlade

Nigerian singer, Oxlade has publicly declared that he wished he owned some of his colleagues’ hit songs.

During his recent interview with Beat 99.9 FM, the ‘woman’ crooner disclosed that he would have loved to be the one who sang ‘You’ by Omah Lay.

While disclosing his craving to owning the hit song he added that he would also loved to have been the artist who sang ‘King’ by fireboy.

His words:

“The song I wish I sang that I really wish I sang… They are two actually. There is ‘You’ by Omah Lay. I feel like I would murder that song with vocals.”

“And then there is ‘King’ by Fireboy. That song… For the first time in my life, I really wanted to be the person that sang ‘King.’ Fireboy is my best friend. We are pretty close.” 

Nigerians couldn’t hold their nerves and reacted massively via all the social media handles.
