Reactions as LP candidate who is an Okada man wins Kura constituency with great margin

Positive chaos has evolved after The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, announced Labour Party (LP) candidate, Donatus Mathew, winner of the Kaura Constituency, Kaduna in the Federal House of Representatives.

The icon identified as Matthew, who is an Okada rider is the first LP candidate to win a legislative seat in the 2023 Reps election.

According to the returning officer, Prof. Elijah Ella Matthew polled a tally of 10,508 votes to defeat the incumbent member and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), rival Hon. Gideon Lucas Gwani, who emerged second with a total of 10,297 votes.

Matthew assured Nigerian civilians a positive and advanced leadership shortly after he was announced the winner of the poll.

Sources have confirmed that the political Gem became an Okada rider after his era as a councillor affected his financial status.
