It’s no more news that Akinmayokun Awodumila, popularly known by the stage name May D has come out publicly in May to accuse the bow split up P-square and their Square Records of wreaking havoc on his musical career and as well clamping down on his fame, in an Online Live interview with Nigerian Blogger Tunde Ednut, which was also covered by Top Nigerian Entertainment website, TrendyBeatz.

“For your information I was staying in their (P-square) boys squatters with their driver and their cook just one room, all of us shared a toilet and I had big songs and also the other side of their twin duplex was empty! Now! I slept on brand new television carton and used my shirt as cover cloth,” May D said.

The revelation mentioned above has sparked outrage and internet sensation as many began calling on the P-square and their brother to come and debunk and give their part of the story, if it was true or not.

May D’s Signed into the Square Records has caused more harm than good as After he was kicked out of the record or perhaps After his exit from the square Records to announce his record label, he lost everything including his popularity and relevance. Still, then he was doing quite well before he was signed Into the square record.

You might remember that in May 2011, it was announced that May D signed to the P Square-owned Square Records. He then featured on a remix of ‘Chop My Money’ by P Square and alongside Akon. A short while after, Square Records also shot videos like ‘Soundtrack’ and ‘Ile Ijo’ for the University of Lagos graduate, May D.

Then in August 2012, May D announced his split from Square Records and announced his own label, Confam Entertainment. Before he signed to Square Records, he was best known for his hook on Kel’s ‘Too Fine’ and as the rapper on Alaye’s SugarKane Records. Alaye is the rapper who featured on P Square’s ‘Temptation’ in the 2000s.

With that being said, Barely two months after May D came out to Drag the P-square and their brother for not treating him well while he was with them, Davido has come to his rescue by signing Akinmayokun Awodumila, popularly known as May D to the list of artists signed into his record label “DMW”.

It should be understood that May D had managed to remain relevant in the music industry despite not enjoying as much attention as he used to get when he was alone which was before his sign into the P-square Square Records and joining Davido’s label looks like a good move for him.

May D recently took to social media to announce the Signing by writing, “My New Family, I’m So Excited! PROBLEM #DMW #30BG #CONFAMENT  @davidoofficial ” which confirmed his Signing into Davido’s DMW Record.

Now comes the Big Question, Will May D Joining Davido’s DMW Record Label revive his Musical Career?

In my own Humble and short opinion, I think May D has made the right decision by getting signed into the DMW, I mean everyone knows that OBO who’s popularly known by his stage name Davido isn’t the stingy type, many of his signed Artistes has been relevant in the music industry, and as such, I think May D deserves another chance.

May D is a talented singer, and one can’t place the reason why he quit the Square Records or why he was maybe Kicked out, but I believe May D has learnt his lessons and will utilize his newly found opportunity wisely. Let’s wait for his first Official jam under the DMW to know if he still has the juice.

What’re your thoughts on the May D’s sign Into the DMV? Is it a wrong move or a Good one? We’d like to hear from you via the comment section.

I AM TIRED OF COMMENTING ON PEOPLE’S HIGH LIGHT OF ISSUES. I WANT PEOPLE TO COMMENT ABOUT ME AND ALSO WATCH ME IN THEIR TV. AS AN UPCOMING ARTIST I HAVE SUFFERED ALOT BY NOT HAVING A SPONSOR AS TALENTED AS I AM. SOMETIMES IT REALLY SUPPRISE ME ABOUT PEOPEL WHO ARE AT THE TOP ON HOW THEY MANAGED TO GET THEIR. SO I DON’T WANT TO BE TALKING ABOUT PEOPLE ALL THE TIME I WANT PEOPLE TO TALK ABOUT ME. IF ANY ONE IS READY TO SPONSOR OR SIGN ME TO HIS OR HER RECORD LABEL, HERE IS MY CONTACT:08135082201.
