He did triumph over Jan Blachowicz by a spilt decision (29-10-1 MMA, 12-7-1 UFC) adding another record to his unmatched UFC legacy.
Amid his victory, the 205-pound king has potentially positioned himself to compete for the UFC Light heavyweight title shot which will be held on Saturday.
This came shortly after the likes of Jamahal Hill recently relinquished the title leaving vast space for the two fighters to collide via their qualities.
