The Nigerian award-winning author and a politician who is best described as Reno Omokri has taken to his Twitter handle and cautioned his followers of the need to avoid admirers as friends.
According to him, he emphasized on whom to be labelled as a true friend and who is not. From his knowledge, we learnt that most friends who value and respects you when you have money are fake while those who value you when you have nothing are true friends.
He also cautioned that we should avoid that kind of people and narrated his reasons.
In his words, he said:
“Learn to permanently ignore those who temporarily adore you. You hit a huge contract and they throw themselves at you. You hit rock bottom and they show their back to you. You need friends, not admirers who disappear when there’s nothing to admire”
